Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actor, animal activist and author who won several Awards. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway 72 are among her most famous movies. She grew up in an artistic family from New York and wanted to explore a career in the arts. She started as a photographic assistant, before progressing to modeling and acting. Her first two movies got noticed and earned her the Golden Globe Award of Most Newcomer of the Year. MacGraw's 1970 film Love Story proved a major hit and fetched her worldwide notoriety, along with several awards including an Academy Award' nomination and the Golden Globe award. She was named the best female box-office actress in the world in just three releases. Her handprints, autograph and footprints were engraved in 1972 by Grauman's Chinese Theater. Some of the films she's been in are The Getaway Convoy Players as in the mini-series on TV The Winds of War. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography was published. MacGraw was married three times.
