Lisa Olivia Munn was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Her mother, Kimberly Schmid, lived in Vietnam, and is of Chinese origin, and her father, Winston Barrett Munn, is from a family with long-standing roots in The American South. Olivia's parents separated at age two. She grew up with her mother, who served with the United States Air Force, as well as her stepfather. While the family lived all over, her main home is Tokyo, Japan. In Japan, she was an actress at local theatre performances, and later became an Japanese fashion model. Olivia has relocated with her family to Los Angeles in order to achieve her dream of becoming an actor was determined to pursue that goal even after her family moved back to America. Then, after some minor roles on TV shows featuring Hawaii lense (such as Beyond the Break), she won the role Mily Acuna, and was offered Rob Schneider's receptionist in Big Stan. She hosts podcasts "Formula D", "The Daily Nut", and "The Daily Nut". Her love of surfing has been evident since the 2006 TV program Beyond the Break. She is also a black-belt in Taekwondo. When she was two, her mother got married. She was married a US Air Force serviceman. Despite the fact that the family moved a frequently, her mother was raised in Tokyo in Japan, where she stayed with the military. She was a journalist at the University of Oklahoma and also studied Japanese as well as dramatic arts and drama.
